Scorchers into the Big Bash final

The Perth Scorchers are into the decider of the Big Bash competition after a dominant 48-run win over the Sydney Sixers.

Kurtis Patterson (64) and Josh Inglis (79) got Perth off to a flyer opening the game up with a 120-run partnership.

Mitch Marsh provided some late order hitting (28) as the Scorchers reached 3-189.

Jason Behrendorff (2-31) and Jhye Richardson (2-21) started the defence of the total on fire dismissing openers Justin Avendano and Josh Phillipe cheaply.

Ashton Agar (2-16) joined in a short time later dismissing Nick Bertus and Dan Christian.

AJ Tye (2-38) and Peter Hatzoglou (1-29) finished off the innings dismissing the Sixers in the 20th over for 141.

The Sixers will now face the winner of the Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder clash to determine whether they will get a second crack at the Scorchers in the final match.
