Scorchers onto winners list
Perth Scorchers have bounced back from Wednesday night's horror start to the Big Bash League by defeating the Melbourne Renegades by 11-runs.
The home side batted first and posted 7-196 off the back of an unbeaten 56 from 22 balls from skipper Mitch Marsh.
Cameron Bancroft also scored a half century and Ashton Turner chipped in with 36.
The Renegades got away to a flyer before near on back to back wickets from Chris Jordan and Joel Paris slowed the run rate.
Former Scorcher Shaun Marsh and Beau Webster put on a partnership of 92 before Shaun fell for 55 at a crucial stage of the game.
Webster continued on and was not out 67 from 37 balls at the end but it wasn't enough as the Renegades finished at 6-185.
Mitch Marsh was named player of the match.
