Scorchers secure home Big Bash final

The Perth Scorchers have locked themselves into a home final after a 10-run win over the Melbourne Renegades.


Cameron Bancroft earned himself more man of the match honours after belting an unbeaten 95 off 50 balls.


WA quick David Moody donning the red was removed from the attack after just two balls in the second over of the game for bowling two over the waist deliveries deemed to be dangerous by the on-field umpires.


Stephen Eskinazi smashed 54 off 29 balls opening the innings to give the Scorchers the perfect launching platform after being sent in by the visitors.


Same late order hitting from Cooper Connolly 20 off 11 boosted Perth to 5-212.


On the visiting side Shaun Marsh got the Renegades off to a flyer scoring 54 from 34 balls before falling victim to David Payne.

The Renegades always found themselves chasing the game.


Aaron Finch almost single handedly lifted the men in red over the line with an unbeaten 76 from 35 balls.

Finch belting a four off the final ball of the game to push his side to 5-202.

Perth will monitor quick Matt Kelly after he copped a ball to the face following a ball running off Finch's bat at the non-strikers end when a ball was thrown in from the deep.


Kelly lay motionless on the ground before returning to his feet and leaving the ground.


A short time later AJ Tye dropped a outfield catch that fell straight through his hands onto his face leaving him with a cut on his nose.


The Scorchers home final is on Saturday night at Optus Stadium.
