Scorchers thrash Heat to go back top
The Perth Scorchers are back on top of Big Bash table following an seven-wicket lashing of the Brisbane Heat at Optus Stadium.
Chasing a target of 172 for victory Cameron Bancroft (76not out off 48 balls) and Aaron Hardie (57 off 33) combined for a partnership of 111 from just 65 balls to take the game away from the visitors.
Skipper Ashton Turner finished off the innings (23 off 12) alongside Bancroft to give Perth a one-point lead on the BBL table with one game in hand.

Stephen Eskinazi (one) fell early in the innings in his first outing for the Scorchers while Josh Inglis (six) was dismissed cheaply.
Earlier, the Scorchers quelled an early Heat onslaught to restrict their potential plus 200 score to 8-171.
Andrew Tye (3-37), Lance Morris (2-40) and Matt Kelly (2-28) did a fantastic job pulling up a rampant Heat.
The Scorchers play the return match against the Heat on Wednesday night at the Gabba.
