Sheed to miss Bombers clash
2018 premiership star Dom Sheed has been ruled out of the round 15 clash with Essendon, suffering from a foot injury after his AFL return against Geelong last week.
The 27 year old had 20 disposals in his first game back against Geelong and appeared to get through the game unscathed, before experiencing pain in his right foot this week, believed to be a 'hot spot' rather than a break or a recurrence of his pre-season ankle syndesmosis injury in February that ruled him out of the first three months of the season.
Speaking to Sports Breakfast on Thursday, Sheed said he had pulled up sore from the clash with Geelong.
"I'm a bit sore. It's a six day break so it's a quick turnaround."
Liam Ryan and Tim Kelly return from illness for the clash, while Josh Rotham replaces the injured Jeremy McGovern in defence.
Jackson Nelson has been dropped, last
Dual best and fairest Nic Naitanui will return through the WAFL from a knee injury.
West Coast face Essendon at Optus Stadium tomorrow night at 6:40 PM, looking to break a nine game losing streak.
Dom Sheed joins Sports Breakfast weekly for station sponsors SKG Radiology and Telstra Business Centre Perth South.
