Smith refuses to confirm he's joining the LIV Golf tour

Aussie golfer Cameron Smith has moved to provide no more fuel to the fire that he is joining the LIV golf tour.

Fellow Aussie Cameron Percy told RSN Breakfast in Melbourne that Smith along with Marc Leishman has signed up to the tour.

Queenslander Smith said he was only focused on the first FedExCup playoff event.

“You know, my goal here is to win the FedExCup Playoffs,” Smith said.

“That’s all I’m here for. If there’s something I need to say regarding the PGA Tour or LIV, it’ll come from Cameron Smith, not Cameron Percy.

“I’m a man of my word and whenever you guys need to know anything, it’ll be said by me.”

The top 70 in the FedExCup standings after this weekend will progress to the second event of the three-leg playoffs.
