Tassie fightback has WA on back foot

Poor bowling and average top order batting as placed WA in a contrasting position at the end of day three from what they found themselves just a day earlier.

Tasmania beginning the day's play at 5-188 surpassed the visitors total of 371 to take a 19-run lead into the second innings thanks to Beau Webster who scored a brilliant run-a-ball 187.

Webster destroyed the bowling attack that lost their way towards the back end of the innings to bring up his fifth first class century.

Joel Paris was the standout for WA finishing with the figures of 5-90 from 26.4 overs.

WA's second innings began disastrously losing Bancroft, Carder and Shaun Marsh all without scoring.

Whiteman (4) succumbed a short time later and WA were now in desperate need of a partnership.

Cam Green (45) and Josh Phillipe (55) combined for a 79-run stand before both fell in the space of eight balls.

Aaron Hardie (18*) and Joel Paris (26*) guided WA home to stumps putting on 52 between them.

Play resumes at 7:30AM WST on Thursday morning, join SportFM for uninterrupted coverage of the final.
