Thunder strikes to knock over Scorchers

The Perth Scorchers have been outdone by the Sydney Thunder for the second time in two outings between the sides this time by six-wickets (DLS method).

In a rain interrupted encounter Perth batting first posted 8-130. The total was adjusted to 135 under the Duckworth Lewis Stern method.

Cameron Bancroft was the best with the bat knocking up 30 from 31 balls while a late order 22 from Ashton Agar boosted Perth to their total.

Gurinder Sandhu claimed his third hat trick of his professional career snaring 4-22.

The Thunder got away to a fast start losing their first wicket in the seventh over with the score on 51.

Mathew Gilkes (32), Alex Hales (26), Jason Sangha (34) and Sam Billings (19 not out) all got starts which was enough for Sydney to achieve the total with an over to spare.

AJ Tye claimed wickets while Matt Kelly picked up the single breakthrough.
