WA to host the Sheffield Shield final

WA will play in the Sheffield Shield final for the first time since 2014-15 after defeating Victoria by an innings and 51-runs.


Lance Morris claimed four wickets to skittle Victoria for 172 in their second innings just after lunch on the third day.


Hilton Cartwright was named player of the match following his hard hitting 109 to help WA to their total of 337.

Aaron Hardie and Joel Paris both claimed six wickets for the match.


The two sides will again meet the the Sheffield Shield final starting on Thursday at the WACA.


WA haven't won a Sheffield Shield final since defeating Queensland at the Gabba in 1998-99.
