WAFL fixture adjusted

The covid-19 curtailed round of WAFL from April will be re-scheduled for July, the WA Football Commission confirmed on Tuesday.

Round four, initially scheduled for April 24th will now be played in round 15 on the weekend of July 17th, all five matches to be played on that date.

The three fixtures scheduled for Round 15 will shift to Round 16, creating a full round of fixtures in the previously arranged split round.

The mid season bye in June will remain over the weekends of June 12 and June 19, avoiding a quick turnaround for teams out of the Monday WA Day public holiday on June 7th.

The clubs were consulted on the fixture revamp, the decision also allowing West Coast and Fremantle to have concurrent byes with their WAFL clubs.

East Perth and Subiaco are both set to play at Leederville Oval on the Saturday of round 16, with the games likely to be played back to back with start times to be confirmed at a later date.
