WAFL round 11 wrap - Swans upset the Falcons

Round eleven of the WAFL was marked by a boilover win to go with two dominant results.


Swan Districts secured an upset win over reigning premiers West Perth, winning by 15 points at Pentanet Stadium.


Aaron Black gathered 20 disposals and kicked two goals in his 250th game for the Falcons but couldn’t haul them over the line, with Aidan Clarke (30 disposals, 1 goal) and Jarvis Pina (30 disposals) continuing strong seasons for the Black Ducks.


Claremont returned to the top of the ladder with a 91-point thrashing of West Coast at Revo Fitness Stadium.

Jye Bolton (42 disposals) and Teia Miles (35 disposals) dominated across half back as Talon Delacey and Anthony Treacy led the way with four goals each for the Tigers, while Zane Trew (31 disposals, five tackles) and Jackson Nelson (30 disposals, eight tackles, one goal) battled hard for the Eagles.


East Perth demolished Perth by 110 points at Leederville Oval.


The Royals midfield group had a day out with Hamish Brayshaw (38 disposals, two goals), Mitch Crowden (25 disposals, three goals) and Angus Schumacher (16 disposals, two goals) all in on the act, while Charlie Thompson (23 disposals, seven tackles) played a lone hand for the Demons.
