Wells hopeful for another opportunity

Jonathan Wells is on the look out for a new BBL home after being let go by the Adelaide Strikers.

Wells was the leading run scorer for the Strikers in BBL11 said the decision was a "difficult decision."

The 33-year-old scored 501 runs at a strike rate of 128.79 with four half centuries.

Speaking on Sports Breakfast Wells said the decision had become as a bit of a surprise to him.

"I still thought I was playing good enough cricket to warrant continuing on, they've decided to go in a different direction.

"I was a little bit disappointed that it's come to an end."

Wells will now look for a new home with the middle-order batsman confirming he still has the desire to play in the BBL.

Currently the competition is in an embargo period with no club able to sign new players so Wells will need to sit tight to see what direction his future heads.
