West Aussie creates golfing history

Hannah Green has made history by becoming the first woman to win a mixed gender event.


Green who has now won back to back tournaments finished 20 under posting a final round 66 to win the Murray Bridge event.


The crucial hole an eagle on the par-five 10th hole shooting her clear of her nearest rivals.

The 25-year-old said it was an amazing feeling.


"I wasn't going to play here [after winning last week's Vic Open]. I was going to go home to Perth but I think things happen for a reason."


"Hopefully I can continue this momentum for the rest of my season."


Young West Aussie Hayden Hopewell tied second with New South Welshman Andrew Evans with a score of 65.
