Wildcats dump import

The Perth Wildcats have sacked import Dario Hunt and replaced him with veteran Miles Plumlee.

Hunt had an inconsistent time at the Cats throughout his 21 games averaging just 8.6 points and 6.0 rebounds.

Plumlee landed in Perth on Tuesday and said he was happy to be joining the club.

“It’s really enticing to come to a great team, and winning makes everything more fun, so I want to come here and win. Plumlee said.

“I’m going to be high energy, I’m going to play hard, bring athleticism and do whatever I can to win - defensive presence, especially inside, rebounding, blocking shots and finishing."

The 31-year-old who played 347 NBA games is set to make his debut against the Hawks on Friday night.
