UPDATE: Wildcats return 10 positive cases
The Perth Wildcats game scheduled for Wednesday against the Adelaide 36ers has been postponed after PCR tests confirmed 10 positive COVID cases with the camp.
All 10 cases come from the 15-man player squad that is currently isolating in Hobart.
Perth's next game is scheduled for Sunday January 16 against the Illawarra Hawks.
Thursday - The Perth Wildcats are isolating in Tasmania after a number of members of the squad tested positive for COVID.
Perth's match against the Adelaide 36ers has already been postponed from Friday to Wednesday January 12.
Coach Scott Morrison speaking to the media said in some ways it would be better if the whole squad caught COVID all at once.
"It's everywhere, it's very contagious this strain of the virus, so it was inevitable that it would happen.
"I think we just do our best to avoid it. But at the end of the day, if you're going to get it, it's almost better for everyone just to get it at the same time.
"I'd rather no one get it, but if it's going to happen, at least you can keep your team together in the same place on the same schedule."
The Wildcats sit on top of the NBL table with a 5-1 record.
