Wildcats snatch victory from the jaws of defeat

The Perth Wildcats have produced one of the more incredible finishes in NBL history coming from behind to defeat Melbourne United 90-89 at RAC Arena.

Perth scored 11-points in the final 42 seconds of the game including an extraordinary three pointer from Corey Webster. Incredibly the Wildcats trailed by five points with 10 seconds remaining on the clock.

Webster said it was an amazing feeling.

“I thought I tied it up with that three. I didn’t even know.

"I’ve always shot the ball with confidence. Obviously you go through ups and downs throughout your career and seasons.

“But shooters stick with it and shoot with confidence every time. I’m happy that one went down."

Bryce Cotton finished the best on court again scoring 29 points while Webster contributed 20 points and Luke Travers delivered 11 points.

The Wildcats remain at home and take on the New Zealand Breakers on Friday night.
