Wildcats suffer horror Tassie loss

The Wildcats have suffered an embarrassing 103-72 loss to the JackJumpers in Hobart on Saturday night.

Perth led by one-point at the first break before a 34-13 JackJumpers run blew the game wide open.

It was a night to forget for the Wildcats who shot just 7/25 from outside the arc and executed just 15 turnovers.

Bryce Cotton scored 14 points and Luke Travers the only other player scoring double figures shooting 12 points.

Wildcats coach John Rillie was short and to the point in his post game press conference.

"Tasmania were very good and Perth Wildcats not so good," Rillie said.

"There was the turnovers and rebounding we need to work on, but they played with great purpose and intent, and we couldn’t create that moment ourselves on offence.

"When you turn the ball over or give them a number of opportunities to score, it's tough to get any momentum and that's where they really embraced their game and turned it their way in the second quarter.

"They got to play the game at their pace and we couldn’t generate any kind of momentum for ourselves."

Perth are back in action on Friday night against the South East Melbourne Phoenix at RAC Arena.
