Woewodin joins Sports Breakfast as fill in co-host

2000 Brownlow Medallist Shane Woewodin will join 91.3 Sport FM’s Sports Breakfast program as of Monday 13th March.

Woewodin, who played 200 AFL games across both Melbourne and Collingwood from 1997 to 2005 will join Jacob Landsmeer on Sports Breakfast as co-host, replacing Wayne Clark on a temporary basis with the former Australian and West Australian bowler away on holidays.

The 46 year old will co-host the show until Clark’s return on April 14th.

Woewodin has been a coach and commentator since his retirement from playing at the end of 2007, having regularly commentated AFL games for the ABC in Perth in recent seasons.

Woewodin’s son Taj is currently on Melbourne’s list as a father-son, featuring in the Demons final pre-season match last weekend as he presses for an AFL debut.

“I look forward to joining the Sport FM team and having some fun on Breakfast,” Woewodin said.

“I’ve always enjoyed radio and engaging with listeners so the next few weeks should be fantastic.”

Sports Breakfast airs weekdays 6-9 AM on SportFM, thanks to station sponsors Holman and Osborne Park Hyundai.
