East Fremantle opened round 10 with a victory over West Perth in a high scoring key forward shoot out.
Despite Coen Livingston and Matthew McKenzie winning the ruck contest and recording 19 more hit outs than the Sharks, East Fremantle’s midfield dominated.
Cameron Eardley led the way with 33 disposals, 11 marks and three entries, but it was Jack Cleaver who broke the game open with two goals, 22 disposals and six entries.
Sharks key forwards Griffin Vladich and Liam Robinson both slotted five major scores each, while West Perth’s Tyler Keitel also scored five of his own.
The Falcons struggled to find scoring shots despite only recording four less entries than their opponents, resulting in the Sharks gradually pulling away to secure a hard fought victory at home.
Claremont 14.7 (91) def by. Perth 17.6 (108)
Perth handed Claremont their second straight win with a 17-point victory on the road.
The Tigers have hit a rough patch of form in the mid season, now having a chance to drop down from first on the ladder for the first time this year if Peel Thunder get a win over East Perth next week while Claremont watch on with a bye.
Perth came out strong with 6.1 in the first quarter to 1.2 for the home side.

Brandan Parfitt and Lochlan Paton battled it out for best on ground for the victors – Parfitt notched up 27 touches and provided eight entries while Paton was efficient in the forward line with 17 touches and five major scores.
The victory puts the Demons up into third.
Swan Districts 13.11 (89) def by. West Coast 14.12 (96)
West Coast wrestled back a second half lead to snub the win over Swan Districts on the road by seven points on Saturday.
The Swans led early kicking 6.1 to 4.5 in the first quarter and leading by a three-point margin heading into the second term.
Swan Districts’ midfielders went to work – Clint Hinchcliffe, Joshua Cipro and Jesse Turner all breaking the 30 disposal threshold.
Matt Flynn was strong in the ruck with 40 hit outs but it was Jack Williams who was considered best on ground for the visitors – he kicked 3.3 and had 23 touches.
Tyrell Dewar led the goal scoring for West Coast with four majors, they now jump up into seventh.
