West Perth has parted ways with coach Jason Salecic, just ten games in to season 2025.
The dual premiership player and former captain of the club coached 28 games after taking the reins in 2024, recording seven wins in his time in charge.
The 41 year old was told by the board his services were no longer required on Sunday, following his side’s 32 point defeat to Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Salecic took the reins from dual premiership coach Darren Harris after the 2023 season, having played 216 games in red and blue including the 2003 and 2013 premiership triumphs, captaining the latter.
After a four win season in his first year at the helm, the Falcons had won three of their first seven games in 2025 before three straight losses saw West Perth’s finals hopes all but extinguished.
Senior assistant and former West Perth player Paul Sanzone will take the reins for the final eight games of the season.
