Perth Demons star recruit Brandon Parfitt says he hasn’t spoken to anyone about a possible return to the AFL but hasn’t entirely ruled it out amid his side’s solid start to 2025.
Parfitt has been linked to a possible AFL return through the Midseason draft, with some speculating West Coast may be interested.
Geelong delisted the 27-year-old after 130 games across eight seasons at the end of 2024, with clubs across the state leagues chasing his services, including Adelaide’s SANFL side.
He eventually signed a two-year deal at Perth, with his connection with former North Adelaide coach and new Perth football boss Brad Dodd winning him over.
When asked about a rumoured return to the AFL, Parfitt says his focus remains on his WAFL club.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone as of yet. I think my focus is all on the Demons and winning games with them and trying to hopefully play finals,” he said.

“If something eventuates, yeah, I’ll put up my hand and take the opportunity. I’d regret not sort of giving myself a chance to play AFL again.
“But I think for now, it’s just playing at the Dees and enjoying my football and playing good footy.”
Parfitt says he is enjoying his time at Perth.
“I’m loving my time here, and it’s hard to say what’s different,” he said.
“I guess winning helps, and all the boys are up and about, and everyone’s starting to grow with confidence.
“It’s good when you’re banking these early wins and you can still keep building on your game plan.”
