91.3 Sport FM’s award winning football coverage returns for 2025, with your favourite shows returning from Saturday 29th March.

Before the Footy returns for a fifth season with award winning football journalist John Townsend returning for a new season.

Joining the show for 2025 is dual premiership Eagle Chris Waterman, replacing former team mate Peter Sumich and four time premiership coach Tony Micale.

“We are delighted to welcome ‘Muddy’ to the Sport FM team for 2025,” SportFM Chairman Jack Crawshaw said.

“His extensive experience in the game and strong opinions will complement the hard hitting news stories of John Townsend, still a renowned news breaker.”

In an added bonus to WAFL fans, the acclaimed ‘WAFL World’ program will now be broadcast two nights a week, Monday and Wednesday at 5PM.

Matt Grubelich will host the Monday program alongside John Townsend and former West Perth President Brett Raponi, reviewing the weekend’s action along with special guests from WAFL clubs.

Lead 91.3 Sport FM WAFL broadcaster Jacob Landsmeer remains in the chair on Wednesdays, joined by dual Perth premiership player Chris Mitsopolous and new recruit to the show East Perth key defender Corey Watts, the Wednesday edition offering opinions from both current and former players in the game.

“It’s a great thrill to extend WAFL World to two nights a week,” Landsmeer said.

“The popularity of the show has grown over many years, and to have a Monday weekend review show followed by a news/preview show on a Wednesday is a wonderful way to give WAFL fans the best of both worlds.”

“To add both John (Townsend) and Corey Watts only strengthens an already great show, I’m looking forward to both of their insights.”

Before the Footy and WAFL World add to the regular WAFL and AFL guests across flagship programs Sports Breakfast, The Sports Connection and Sports Drive, which will move from 3-6 PM to 2-5 PM from Monday 31st March.

Tony Micale returns to Sports Breakfast 7-8 AM Monday and Friday for his hard hitting analysis on both the AFL and WAFL, while also appearing on the Sports Connection on Wednesday’s.

Peter Sumich remains on Breakfast Monday’s and Fridays, while also appearing on the Sports Connection Thursday morning and on Fridays with 1985 Brownlow Medallist Brad Hardie.

Sumich’s strong opinions and ability to break news has been a welcome addition to 91.3 Sport FM since 2021, dominating the WA news cycle in that period.

Sports Breakfast welcome dual Premiership Tiger and Eagles recruit Jack Graham as a weekly guest on the program, thanks to station sponsors Cloud Connect WA and The Berrigan Bar and Bistro.

Fremantle fans will hear from young key forward Jye Amiss weekly as well on the show, thanks to WA Electric company and Gate Bar and Bistro.
