SportFM 91.3 will broadcast Western Force home games this season as part of an exciting new partnership.
The station’s broadcasts will be fronted by well-known Perth rugby media identity Mick Colliss along with a team of commentators, including former Force front-rower Heath Tessmann, current Force and Wallaroos lock Michaela Leonard and former Wallaby Mitch Hardy.
The announcement comes ahead of the Force’s opening game of the new season against the ACT Brumbies at HBF Park on Saturday 14 February from 4:35pm WST, followed by the historic Round 2 game at Arena Joondalup’s HIF Health Insurance Oval on Saturday 21 February against the Blues. Both games will be broadcast live by 91.3 Sport FM as part of the deal.
Force players and coaches will also feature regularly on 91.3 Sport FM’s range of programmes throughout the week, including flagship Sports Breakfast hosted by Jacob Landsmeer and Wayne Clark.
Force general manager of business operations Tyson Beattie said: “This partnership is a fantastic initiative, which puts our fans first, providing greater access to our home games.
“We’re thrilled to work with a respected local community station like 91.3 Sport FM who offer such a great service to WA sports followers.

“Sport FM’s commentary team led by Mick Colliss are experts and will provide an insightful, quality product for fans to really engage with our team this season.
“This partnership will help elevate our connection to our loyal supporters, especially those who cannot always attend home games. Attending fans will also have the option of tuning into the commentary through their smart devices.”
Sport FM chairman Jack Crawshaw said: “SportFM is excited to be broadcasting Western Force home games throughout the upcoming season.
“Adding Super Rugby Pacific to the station’s offering is more commitment to ensuring the station provides coverage of all sports.
“Fans can listen on 91.3FM, at sportfm.com.au or on their smartphone via the Community Radio Plus app.”
The Sport FM commentary will be exclusively at Force home games this season. The Force’s seven home games will all be played on Saturdays, with three 4:35pm kick-offs, one 7:55pm kick-off and three 5:35pm kick-offs (once daylight savings ends on the east coast).
