PEEL THUNDER 1.2 (8) def by. WEST PERTH 12.7 (79)
West Perth were too strong for a struggling Peel Thunder side, beating them at Rushton Park to the tune of 71 points.
The Falcons set the tone early, sitting on 6.4 to 0.1 heading into the main break. From there, they almost doubled their scoreline in the second half, kicking 6.3.
But for Peel, they were limited in scoring opportunities, having 16 fewer than the visitors. Peel’s only major came as a consolation goal from Ebony Bilcich in the final quarter.
Taylor Ferguson (23 disposals, nine marks) and Sara Riou (four goals, 22 disposals) were outstanding for West Perth. Riou and Erin O’Brien combined to kick more than half of West Perth’s goals – the latter scoring three of her own.
For Peel, Chloe Wrigley gave a classy 35-disposal, 12-tackle performance and was best on for the losing side. Ebony Dowson (25 disposals, two tackles) and Gracie Fenton (24 disposals, four tackles) also gave solid performances.
SOUTH FREMANTLE 3.7 (25) def. EAST PERTH 1.4 (10)
South Fremantle came out on top in a low-scoring scrap against East Perth, locking in a 15-point win at Fremantle Oval.
Neither side scored a goal in the first half, but South Fremantle had the upper hand at the main break with two behinds.
In the third quarter, the Bulldogs broke the deadlock, kicking two goals, but the Royals had to wait until the final quarter, where they booted 1.4.
Tahleah Mulder (19 disposals, one goal) stood up in the absence of Poppy Stockwell, who received a call-up to the Fremantle AFLW squad. Ella Matthews (17 disposals, five tackles) and Hannah Burt (21 disposals, four tackles) were also strong, while Zoe Huggett booted two goals.
For the Royals, Layla Firns (21 disposals, five tackles) was best on, while Jess Verbrugge (20 disposals, four tackles) also featured.
Brianna Cleggett battled hard all day, finishing on 14 disposals and eight tackles and receiving reward for her efforts, booting East Perth’s only goal in the last term.

EAST FREMANTLE 5.2 (32) def by. SWAN DISTRICTS 10.4 (64)
Swan Districts’ terrific season continued, doubling East Fremantle’s score to beat them by 32 points on Sunday.
32 was the magic number in this match. Not only was it the final margin, but it was East Freo’s final score and Swan Districts’ half-time score.
The home side was kept to one goal at the main break, giving Swan Districts a 25-point advantage in the second half. The Swans continued to build on this, blowing out their halftime total of 32 to 64 come full time.
Jamie Henry delivered a masterclass, recording 30 disposals, seven tackles and a goal, while rising AFLW draft prospect Carys D’Addario (21 disposals, six tackles and inside 50s) had a great day out.
Swans Duo Taylah Edwards and Ava Stewart kicked four and two goals respectively, while Shark Siena Jezierski-Brown kicked three of her own.
For East Fremantle, Mylee Leitch (15 disposals, four marks and tackles) and Torrens Revell (14 disposals, four tackles) were the standouts, while Jae Flynn laid a whopping 11 tackles.
CLAREMONT 11.5 (71) def. PERTH 4.2 (26)
Claremont surged home to a comfortable 45-point win against Perth, who are still looking for their elusive maiden WAFLW win.
The Tigers burst out of the gates early, kicking four goals in the first quarter, with Perth only managing to score one.
But Perth’s grit cannot be criticised, holding Claremont to one and two goals in the second and fourth quarters, respectively. They were rewarded for their defensive efforts with three goals accumulatively in those two quarters.
Reigning Dhara Kerr medallist Jayme Harken was clinical, with 29 touches and 10 tackles, while Juliet Kelly laid an impressive 18 tackles and had 23 disposals.
Up forward, Hannah Seaborn lit up the scoreboard with four goals, while Sasha Goranova had two of her own.
Isabella Shannon (24 touches, seven tackles) and Jorja Haines (22 touches, 12 tackles) were Perth’s strongest performers.
Subiaco had the bye this week.
