Peel Thunder were too good for West Coast after a dominant 52-point victory at Lane Group Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 

Peel, boasting five fewer AFL-listed players than their opposition, extended their winning streak against the Eagles, pushing it out to five games. 

It was a mammoth effort for cast-aside Docker Will Brodie, who continues to impress week after week, finishing on 34 disposals, eight tackles and eight inside 50s, despite receiving attention in the second half. 

Scott Tuia (29 disposals, five tackles), Nathan O’Driscoll (24 disposals, six inside 50s), and Archie Caldow (24 disposals, five marks) also played supporting roles, while Corey Tregenza was busy up forward, booting four goals. 

For West Coast, Harley Sparks was their strongest, finishing on 22 disposals, six tackles and six inside 50s.

AFL-listed forward Loch Rawlinson kicked two goals, while Jobe Shanahan (20 disposals, eight marks) and Rhett Bazzo (19 disposals, nine marks) put up a strong fight in defence. 

SWAN DISTRICTS 9.7 (61) def by. PERTH 11.10 (76)

Perth got the job done in a scrappy battle against an undermanned Swan Districts side on Saturday afternoon at Steel Blue Oval.  

Swan Districts showed plenty of grit and fight, but were unable to hold off early Sandover Medal favourite Charlie Constable (37 disposals, 10 marks), who had a massive influence in the 15-point win. 

He and Blake Schlensog combined well, with the ruck delivering an impressive 28-disposal performance along with 33 hitouts and 12 marks.

Other notable performances came from Brandon Parfitt (26 disposals, eight marks), Noah Cachard (24 disposals, seven marks) and Aaron Clarke (three goals).

Swans captain Jesse Turner battled hard throughout the day, snagging 31 disposals and two goals for his efforts. Jye Chalcraft (24 disposals, four tackles) also played well. 

In front of goals, Leigh Kohlmann performed well, kicking three majors, while William Reidy had two, along with a team-high six tackles. 

SOUTH FREMANTLE 15.7 (97) def. EAST PERTH 12.15 (87)

South Fremantle held off a fast-finishing East Perth to come away with the four points and cement their place at the top of the ladder, while a beloved Bulldog makes a remarkable comeback in the reserves.

Sitting 30 points behind at three-quarter time, East Perth kicked five goals to South Fremantle’s two in the final term, reducing the final margin to 10 points. 

But East Perth will be left wondering what could have been, had they not kicked an inaccurate 12.15, with five more scoring opportunities than their opponent. 

Trey Ruscoe produced a career-best performance in front of goals, kicking seven of South Fremantle’s 15 goals, while Brandon Donaldson and Matthew Parker contributed two each.  

Parker finished on 21 disposals and 10 tackles, and was among the Bulldogs’ finest, while Jake Florenca (27 disposals, five tackles, one goal) was also significant in the win. 

In the Reserves game, Sandover Medallist Haiden Schloithe kicked a goal on return to footy just months after being diagnosed with cancer. 

For East Perth, their midfield was fired up, with Angus Scott (28 disposals, 7 inside 50s), Hamish Brayshaw (26 disposals, 10 marks) and Tom North (25 disposals, six marks) all playing solid games.

Both Sam Van Diemen and Thomas Medhat struck the scoreboard three times, while Stan Wright had 28 disposals down in defence. 

Subiaco, East Fremantle, Claremont, and West Perth had the bye.
