West Perth smashed the Sharks on Friday night under the lights – East Fremantle continuing to struggle to put up a big score.

Ashlee Atkins was the only goal scorer for East Fremantle in her 50th game, scoring their only major for the game in the first quarter.

West Perth controlled possession and produced 30 more entries than the Sharks, allowing Sabreena McKinnon to get on the end of four goals as one of four scorers for the Falcons.

Elle McEvoy was dominant in the middle with 27 touches, also recording six tackles and three inside 50s.

West Perth now string two wins together and sit in fourth while the Sharks remain in third.

Claremont 4.4 (28) def. Subiaco 3.4 (22)

The Lions drop to sixth after three straight losses, falling to the Tigers by a goal on Saturday.

Subiaco couldn’t find a goal until the third quarter, and they were lucky to kick 2.0 to 1.1 in the final term to give themselves a look at a win.

Matilda Husband was crucial in the ruck contest for Claremont, dominating her match up with Karry Plumer and recording 41 hit outs, also having scoreboard impact with a major.

The Lions chalked up six more inside 50 entries than their opponents but the Tigers’ defence were able to deny scoring opportunities.

Sarah Viney and Jayme Harken led the way for Claremont with 25 and 21 disposals respectively – Jayme Harken also hit the board with one goal.

Peel Thunder 4.3 (27) def by. Swan Districts 19.3 (117)

Swan Districts took down Peel Thunder by 90 points on Saturday to record one of their biggest wins in club history.

The Swans couldn’t miss in the first quarter kicking 8.0, following up with 11.3 in the second half, setting up a scoring shot 73% of the time they went inside 50.

Jaime Henry had leather poisoning as she notched up a whopping 49 disposals, seven marks, 10 tackles and seven inside 50s – the next closest ball winner on the Swans was Jessica Cox with 20 touches.

Swan Districts’ forward line had a ball with Ashley Sharp kicking eight goals, Summer Yarran close behind with four and Taylah Edwards and Madison Fisher also picking up multiple major scores.

Peel remain winless after 10 rounds of football while the Swans remain at the top of the ladder.

East Perth 4.5 (29) def by. South Fremantle 7.3 (45)

South Fremantle move up into fifth after a 16-point win over East Perth.

The Dogs led at the end of every break and controlled the match throughout with inaccuracy paining the Royals despite recording only one less scoring shot.

Kate Newson and Charlie Vandenberg combined for 32 hit outs in the ruck to control the tap which helped the Dogs produced six goalkickers.

Natasha Entwistle led the way with 33 touches and Makaela Tuhakaraina wasn’t far behind on 29 for the day.

Lucy Greenwood and Kahra Sprlyan were best on ground for the Royals – both walked away with 24 touches and Sprlyan having fantastic tackle pressure with 10 tackles.
