East Fremantle 4.1 (25) def. Claremont 3.6 (24)
East Fremantle snatched a one-point win over Claremont at home on Friday night to jump into the top four.
It was one the Tigers shouldn’t have given up, recording 17 more entries and four more scoring shots than their opponents – inaccuracy stealing the win from them.
The Sharks were down throughout the match before two crucial goals were kicked in the final term; Mackenzie Webb (20 disposals, 5 marks, 3 tackles) and Amber Kinnane (19 disposals, 2 marks, 10 tackles, 2 inside 50s) lead the way in the midfield.
Noa McNaughton’s absence in lieu of her pre-season draft success was missed by East Fremantle but their forwards were composed front of goals, recording an accuracy of 80%.
Claremont still sit in second and will face the top side after the bye week.
West Perth 6.6 (42) def by. Subiaco 6.8 (42)
West Perth dropped a strong first half lead to give Subiaco their fourth win for the season by two points.
The Falcons led at the end of the first quarter by 10 points and extended it to 16 at half time, but the Lions clawed their way back throughout the second half.
The visitors kept West Perth to just two points in the final term, allowed them to kick 2.2 and steal the win from the Falcons.
Lisa Steane (28 disposals, 7 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal) and Paige Sheppard (26 disposals, 7 marks, 3 tackles, 5 entries) were strong in the midfield with scoreboard impact and it was Caitie Smith who was Subiaco’s top goal scorer for the day, finishing up with three.
West Perth now sit in sixth and are one game behind breaking into the top four while Subiaco occupy third.

South Fremantle 9.3 (57) def. Peel Thunder 7.2 (44)
A slow start for South Fremantle put them on the back foot in their match against Peel Thunder, a team effort helping them get over the line for a 13-point victory.
3.2 in the first quarter saw the visitors up by 14 going into the second term, but 4.1 from the Dogs made it difficult to retain the lead back for the remainder of the game.
Kate Newson dominated in the ruck recording 37 hitouts to add to the team’s tally of 57-21.
Shanny Pomersbach continues consistent form in the forward line, booting a major in every match this year with exception to round 1 – she notched up three yesterday.
Peel remain winless after seven rounds while the Dogs knock on the door of the top four.
Perth 8.8 (56) def. East Perth 2.7 (19)
A disappointing performance from East Perth gave the Demons an easy win at home, beating the visitors by 37 points.
The Royals struggled to kick more than a goal in the first three quarters, and finished the day up with two majors total.
Sheer ruck dominance form Molly Warne (40 hit outs) saw East Perth struggle to figure out the match-up, and rovers like Perth captain Isabella Shannon had a day out with 29 disposals.
Isla Baldwin produced six entries to combine for 11 alongside her skipper, feeding the ball to the Demons’ forwards and giving players like Poppy Stockwell the opportunity to have major impact (3 goals).
The Demons now have their first win of the season – a vital percentage boost jumping them above their opponents over the weekend to eighth.
