Peel Thunder 5.4 (34) def by. East Perth 5.5 (35)

East Perth got their first win of the season over Peel Thunder, taking the home side down in a thriller – one point the margin at the final siren.

The Royals were able to chain together handballs efficiently to provide 10 more entries over Peel – Lucy Greenwood leading the way with 23 disposals and four entries.

Brooke Edwards and Monica Yengi won the ruck contest, also providing attacking power and both kicking a goal each.

Chloe Wrigley got busy for the home side notching up 30 touches, three marks, eight tackles and providing two entries.

The Thunder remain winless and are yet to get their 2026 season underway.

Perth 9.2 (56) def. West Perth 6.9 (45)

Perth secured an 11-point win over West Perth at home, holding off from a late surge by the Falcons.

West Perth clawed their way back to a five-point deficit going into the final term, but three goals in the last quarter kept the Demons ahead.

Poppy Stockwell was the story of the day, making a highlight reel for herself with seven goals.

Molly Warne dominated the ruck for Perth with 37 hitouts, allowing rovers like Isabella Shannon to crumb – she put up 26 touches and gave the Demons five entries.

Despite the Falcons recording more scoring shots and inside 50s than Perth, it was the home side’s ability to make the most of their opportunities and capitalise that made the difference.

East Fremantle 4.5 (29) def. Subiaco 2.12 (24)

East Fremantle snatched a win from Subiaco by five points, moving them up into third on the ladder.

The Lions were ahead by nine points at half time and five going into the final quarter, but it as a 2.1 last term effort from the home side that got them over the line.

Inaccuracy was Subiaco’s pain point throughout the day, kicking two goals in the second quarter and failing to add another to their tally for the remainder of the match.

Anjelique Raison was the only multiple goal kicker for the day, slotting two for the Sharks.

Subiaco now drop down to fourth as they prepare to play Swan Districts at home next week.

Swan Districts 1.4 (10) def by. Claremont 6.7 (43)

Claremont handed Swan Districts their first loss of the season, with a disappointing effort from the home side only putting one major score on the board.

Jaime Henry was kept unusually quiet, still racking up 22 disposals and 11 tackles, while Ashley Sharp was the Swans’ only goalkicker.

Jayme Harken (28 disposals, 5 tackles, 2 inside 50s) and Juliet Kelly (28 disposals, 7 tackles, 7 inside 50s) gave Claremont the upper hand through their elite midfield craft, both hitting the scoreboard with a goal.

Matilda Husband dominated in the ruck with 43 hitouts to take the count out to 49-28 in the visiting side’s favour.

Claremont now eye off equalling the top spot when they face Perth next week.
