A second half sweep from Swan Districts now sees them undefeated and sitting on top of the WAFLW ladder after a 23 point victory at Shark Park.

East Fremantle led the first quarter 2.0 to 1.2 and entered the second half only four points down, but kicking 1 goal to 4 in the remaining quarters gave the Sharks their second loss for the year.

Jaime Henry was arguably best on ground for the Swans notching up 31 disposals and 8 tackles – a gelled forward line seeing no major goalkickers in what was a great team victory.

16 more hit outs and 12 more forward half entries was the difference for Swan Districts, now boasting a percentage of 303.64%.

The Sharks sit in sixth with just one win after round 3.

SOUTH FREMANTLE 8.7 (55) drew PERTH 8.7 (55)

The Dogs and Demons put up the first draw for the 2026 WAFLW season in a great fight, both sides having 15 scoring shots and recording an accuracy of 53.33%.

Leading at the end of every term, South Fremantle seemed to have control of the match but it was constant pressure from Perth which put them in striking distance.

Isabelle Shannon led the stat sheet for the Demons with 30 disposals, 9 marks and 5 inside 50s while Poppy Stockwell and Gemma Dix kicked two each as their leading goalkickers for the match.

Natasha Entwistle (23 disposals, 7 marks, 7 tackles) and Mikayla Hyde (20 disposals, 5 marks, 5 tackles) both put on great performances to lead the Sharks throughout.

3 goals from East Fremantle’s Shannyn Pomersbach and 2 each from Madison Hadley and Makaela Tuhakaraina wasn’t enough to get the Sharks over the line in front of a home crowd.

EAST PERTH 4.2 (26) def by. SUBIACO 10.5 (65)

Paige Sheppard was everywhere in Subiaco’s 39-point victory over the Royals, racking up 31 disposals, 7 marks, 7 tackles and 5 inside 50 entries.

Despite 44 more hit outs for East Perth, their midfield was outworked recording 26 less forward half entries than Subiaco for the day.

Consistent four-quarter-footy from the Lions gave their forwards ample opportunity to score, with Caitlin Smith and Jorja Schell kicking 3 and 2 majors respectively.

Low scoring efficiency pained East Perth who needed 42 disposals on average per goal.

A goalless fourth quarter gave the Lions a chance to extend their lead and they now sit second on the ladder. 

CLAREMONT 14.7 (91) def. PEEL THUNDER 3.3. (21)

Claremont got their second win of the season over the Thunder at home today, boosting their percentage with a 70-point thrashing.

A scoreless first quarter for Peel saw the Tigers up 25-points going into the second, only extending their lead throughout the day. 

Ruby Sargent-Wilson was best on ground for Claremont with 30 disposals and 10 marks, also hitting the scoreboard with a major.

Inside 50 entries collected across the board for the Tigers was the answer in their dominant display, ending the day with 44 total to Peel’s 17.

Megan Green and Bec Anderson were able to convert in front of goals, both finishing with 3 goals each.
